Got a B on my math final, which brought my D grade up to a B+! You cannot believe the relief that I am feeling right now. It's like everything worked out. I got a 3.3 GPA, which is high enough to switch my major to something I'm actually interested in. This is going to be such a good Christmas.

I'm getting back into the whole online thing. Which is so not what I want to do. It's probably just because I'm bored hanging around the house all the time so I go on the computer. Once I'm back at school I'm sure I'll be online less. But for the time being... you might expect some coloring tutorials to appear soon.

fuck finals. i have a math final on wednesday and i neeeeed to do well because i absolutely have to pass the class. i currently have a D. crap.

wow, it's been such a long time since i've posted here! i've just been busy in college doing lots of work and projects. i'm just now wrapping up thanksgiving break and it was absolutely wonderful! i'm so ready for christmas now. i'm leaving for school again on sunday and coming back a week and a half later for a three or four week break (can't remember how long).

it's going to be so nice to sip hot chocolate, sit on the couch looking at the christmas tree and listen to christmas music. i just love this time of the year! if only it snowed...

just got back from irvine. then i went to sjsu to hang out with my sister for the weekend. and now i'm here. as an only child in the house. my life could not get more boring.
it's going to be like this for the next too weeks. damn.

it kind of just hit me that people are leaving for college and it's probably one of the last times that i will see them. i met up with a bunch of high school people tonight and we saw time traveler's wife. that movie was toooo depressing. i was on the verge of crying. i did not cry, however. i never cry. but anyways it's really sad that we're all going our separate ways. my sister is leaving on wednesday for college. i still have about a month to go, so i'm not getting too excited yet. but damn. this summer went by fast.

i'm leaving for irvine tomorrow! i am soo excited. it will probably be the best week. ever.

i'm back! well, i'm back to blogging at least. i don't have any sites in the works and nor do i plan to. but hopefully i'll be up and posting tutorials and icons again, like old times. my much needed break over the summer went well, except for the fact that i discovered that my cat has terminal cancer as well as bladder problems. that pretty much killed me. i've been crying every other day practically because i love him so god damn much. it's going to be hard without him.

i'm going to la on the 18th to see my boyfriend. that'll be exciting. yup.

oh and who else saw 500 days of summer? it was sooo good. i've seen it twice already. the soundtrack is so amazing too! i've made a short mix of my summer songs that you can listen to. they're pretty good. and yes, some of the songs are from 500 days of summer ;)

i really want to take a break from the whole internet thing. i'm sick of trying to make layouts and coding layouts and updating sites. it used to be so fun for me and now it's just not. besides, the end of school is only a 3 weeks away. i just want my summer to be fun and not have to worry about what's going on in keira's life so i can update about her. i still love her and everything, just not as much. plus i'm going to college soon and i really dont want to be doing this while i'm there.

so i'll probably put ihk on hiatus in the near future or maybe give the site away to someone else who deserves it or something. i don't know. we'll see.

all of my ap tests are done, thank god! now i can just relax (except for the fact that I have two projects and one final to do). other than that, i'm so happy. i'm graduating high school in exactly one month. i can't believe it.

but yeah. i've been trying to make a new layout for i♥k today and nothing. i just can't do anything computer-wise lately. oh wellll.

took the AP stat test today. that sucked. it was supposed to start at 12, but it started at 1:30. school ends at 2:48. we finished the test at 5:15. yay for that taking up my entire afternoon. and it absolutely killed my brain. i don't want to think for the next 48 hours.

i am so pissed at my best friend for not going to ball. i mean it's senior ball. she's going to regret it. a lot. and who am i supposed to dance with? wtffff.

i've tried to duplicate lelymarques's icon colorings in these. they are so prettyyy!

thank you for the birthday wishes everyone! i had one of the best days ever, despite the freezing cold and the swim meet. the morning of my birthday i walked through to the family room to eat and i saw a bike. i was so excited! it's a green and white beach cruiser and i love it so much. i haven't ridden a bike in years but i couldn't stop thinking about it all day. that's definitely coming to cal poly with me!

at school i got several embarassing balloons, a ton of cookies and cake, and some flowers. it was a really nice day. then i went to the swim meet and gained like 5 seconds on everything because i haven't swam in so long. but that's okay. right after the swim meet i got ready to go to dinner with my parents. when i walked into the restaurant, i saw all of my friends and they yelled "surprised!" i was so excited. i totally was not expecting a surprise party. i thought i was just going to dinner with my sister and parents. anyways the party was really fun, but we got kicked off the dance floor after like 30 minutes. but hey it's all cool.

today i am eighteen! i can't believe it. i feel like just yesterday i was entering middle school and here i am, about to graduate. i haven't gotten much for my birthday yet, but that's probably because i didn't ask for anything! my mom bought me a gorgeous $400 ball dress and that's all i could ever want for a while. i've been asking my parents to buy fluorescent light bulbs for a while now and today they finally did. i have them installed in my room already! my boyfriend sent me a really sweet package with a brand new leather jacket (it's adorable!) and a lovely card and a cd. i really didn't expect anything from him so i was really excited. and as for my plans for day.. i'm going to a swim meet after school (which is pretty much the last thing i'd want to do on my birthday) and afterwards my parents are taking my sister and i out for a nice dinner downtown. who knows what else is in store? we'll see!

i'm bored, so i'm going to start this monthly mix thing, where i post the music that i listened to throughout the month. i'm an alternative/technoish kinda girl, so if you like my music taste, you'll probably like some of the songs i post. and i'll have download links as well. so here ya go! the first one! (it's a little early to post april's but i'm gonna do it anyway).

so i went to cal poly on thursday for the open house. it's a wayy longer drive than i expected, took us about 3 1/2 hours each way. anyways, my major is plants, which i've said before. the real name is "environmental horticultural science." i'm pretty sure i signed up for environmental science. i hate plants. and dirt. and farming. and that's what my major is. so i'm kind of screwed. i talked to a professor about it and he said i have to wait until the second quarter of my freshman year to switch. that sucks.

but i really loved the campus. it was super warm today and soo pretty. and i love the beach, so it's a huge plus that it's like 10 minutes away from pismo. i'm just so excited to be going off to college finally! i was so mortified today walking around the campus with my parents and a sticker on my shirt. hello, could it get more embarrassing? but i'm home now and off to watch the episode of grey's anatomy that i missed.

so i was trying to find an effect that you can apply to an image when that image has just one color in it: blue. seriously, the only colors in the image before i messed around with it was blue. so it's a really hard technique and it takes a lot of fooling around with settings. and the result still isn't that great but at least it's something.
